Ashley's Story

Ashley Ashley was sixteen when she gave birth to her son, Gaige, in March of 2005. At the time she was living with her boyfriend and her boyfriend’s parents in Anoka County. By November of 2005, Ashley could no longer live with her boyfriend, who had become an abusive methamphetamine drug user.

Debra's Story

Debra Debra's husband, three years ago, went to the store and never came back.

Debra was a stay at home mom of three kids at the time– a five year old girl, seven year old boy, and ten year old boy. She had no job and no savings in the bank and her health was slowly deteriorating due to obesity. At the time, she weighed 425 pounds.

Who We Are

Elim Transitional Housing, Inc. is a Minneapolis, Minnesota based transitional housing program serving the Minneapolis and St. Paul metropolitan area.

We offer affordable housing opportunities to people experiencing:

  • homelessness
  • doubled up
  • living in substandard housing

We also work with people who are at risk of becoming homeless.
