Our Overview
Elim Transitional Housing, Inc. is a Minneapolis, Minnesota based transitional housing program that offers affordable housing opportunities to people experiencing homelessness, doubled up, or living in substandard housing. We also work with people who are at risk of becoming homeless.
We serve over 6,000 people per year within the metropolitan area of Minneapolis and St. Paul through our programs and services. Our housing programs include prevention, screening, rapid exit, transitional housing, permanent housing and permanent supportive housing, and tenant based rental assistance.
WRAP vs. Federal Funding
WRAP has been vocal in creating awareness for the growth in the number of homeless people resulting from dramatic cuts in Federal funding for affordable housing, health care, education and employment initiatives.
Ashley's Story
Ashley was sixteen when she gave birth to her son, Gaige, in March of 2005. At the time she was living with her boyfriend and her boyfriend’s parents in Anoka County. By November of 2005, Ashley could no longer live with her boyfriend, who had become an abusive methamphetamine drug user.
